Accountant/Finance manager

Job description

P3 Alpha is a fintech company developing core banking and payment solutions for financial institutions across Europe.

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Specialist who will take full ownership of the company’s accounting function and independently manage all day-to-day financial and accounting processes. This person will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting Ukrainian legal entities and individual contractors.

Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including invoices, payments, expenses, and financial documentation.

- Reconcile bank accounts and accounting records.

- Prepare monthly financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Manage payroll-related accounting processes.

- Handle accounting processes related to Ukrainian individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) and limited liability companies (TOVs).

- Support the administration of a Ukrainian legal entity, including employee onboarding and offboarding, military records, and employee reservation processes.

- Collaborate with external accounting providers, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

- Maintain accurate and well-organized financial documentation.

- Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting workflows.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant.

- Hands-on experience working with Ukrainian FOPs.

- Hands-on experience managing accounting processes for Ukrainian TOVs.

- Experience working with international companies or international stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.

- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

- Intermediate English, B1 or higher, with the ability to communicate confidently in a professional environment.

- Strong attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to work independently.

Will be a plus

- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or regulated financial services.

- Experience working with multiple legal entities.

- Knowledge of IFRS.

- Experience with European accounting processes.

- Experience maintaining military records and supporting employee reservation processes in Ukraine.

- Experience improving or automating accounting workflows.
