This Policy explains what personal data we process in connection with remotely.living, why we process it and the legal bases we rely on.

The entity identified in the “Service provider details” section at the end of this document is the controller of personal data processed for remotely.living.

Where applying takes you to an external employer, recruiter or ATS website, information submitted there is not sent to remotely.living unless a specific form expressly states otherwise.

4. Purposes and legal bases

Purpose Legal basis
Account, authentication, Saved Jobs, Recently Viewed, loyalty and entitlements. Performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract.
Premium and payments if enabled. Performance of a contract and applicable legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and reliability. Legitimate interests in protecting the service, infrastructure and users and protecting legal claims.
Support and complaints. Contract, legal obligation and/or legitimate interests depending on the request.
Non-essential analytics, personalisation or marketing if enabled and requiring consent. Consent where required.

5. Whether providing data is required

Browsing job listings does not require an email address.

An email address and authentication information are necessary to create and maintain an account. Without them, account-only features cannot be provided.

Payment-related data will only be required if you purchase a paid service.

6. Recipients and providers

Data may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, security, authentication and database providers, including Supabase for account functionality, and email and support providers.

If payments are enabled, transaction-related data may also be processed by a payment provider.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Where a provider processes personal data outside the EEA, the legally required transfer mechanism is used, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards.

8. Retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary for its purpose, account or service lifetime, applicable legal retention periods, security, accounting and legal claims.

9. Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability and may object to processing.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

10. Automated decision-making

We do not use user data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning the user or similarly significantly affects the user.

Automated product rules may calculate loyalty or feature entitlement status. They do not make recruitment or employment decisions.

11. Supervisory complaint

You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland or another competent supervisory authority where applicable.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data appropriately for the nature of the service and risk.

13. Changes

This Policy may be updated when functionality, providers, processing practices or legal requirements change.
