Cantonese Language Evaluator

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

We are seeking native Cantonese speakers to contribute to a language-focused project supporting the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

You'll use your Cantonese language expertise to assess text and speech, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and provide detailed linguistic feedback. No prior AI experience is required.

Scope of Work

- Evaluate Cantonese text and speech for accuracy, fluency, grammar, and contextual appropriateness.

- Review AI-generated language outputs and identify errors, ambiguities, and improvement opportunities.

- Perform data annotation, labeling, and categorization tasks.

- Apply established evaluation guidelines consistently across language samples.

- Collaborate with project leads to clarify evaluation criteria and resolve complex language cases.

- Document linguistic insights and recommendations to improve evaluation processes.

- Support additional language quality reviews based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Native-level proficiency in Cantonese, including strong written and spoken communication.

- Experience in language evaluation, translation, linguistic annotation, transcription, or related language technology work.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

- Familiarity with content moderation or language quality assessment is a plus.

- Comfortable using online platforms and digital evaluation tools.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
