- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, with a strong focus on GitLab CI.

- Automate deployment, configuration and operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

- Support containerised workloads and cloud-native deployment patterns.

- Implement monitoring, logging and observability solutions to improve platform visibility and operational performance.

- Drive infrastructure resilience, scalability, security and cost optimisation initiatives.

- Support incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of platform and application services.

- Promote DevOps best practices and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Required Experience

- Proven Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.

- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab CI.

- Strong Docker and containerisation experience.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and CloudWatch.

- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM and Well-Architected principles.

- Experience implementing automation and reducing manual operational overhead.

- Good understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, load balancing and cloud connectivity.

- Knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies and release management.

- Experience working with serverless services and event-driven architectures.

- Exposure to database technologies, including MongoDB and other modern data platforms.

Desirable Experience

- Public sector or government project experience.

- Cloud cost optimisation and FinOps awareness.

- DevSecOps and security automation experience.

- Knowledge of AI-enabled AWS services such as Bedrock and document-processing services such as Textract.

- Experience supporting highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term digital transformation programme where you'll play a key role in shaping cloud platforms, automation practices and modern engineering delivery!
