EPAM - Lead Java Backend Developer

Job description

We are looking for a Lead Java Backend Developer to guide the design and development of scalable, resilient microservices-based systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features and drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable, resilient microservices architectures

- Build event-driven systems using Kafka

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

- Manage and optimize data using PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB

- Lead technical decision-making within a fast-paced development environment

- Drive best practices for Java and Spring Boot development

- Mentor team members and foster strong teamwork across projects

Requirements

- 5+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Java Developer or similar role

- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices framework

- Experience with Microservices architecture and building scalable, resilient systems

- Proficiency in Kafka for building event-driven systems

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB databases

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

- Familiarity with headless CMS solutions, particularly ContentStack
