Project Overview

Greenfield implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Premium) for a wholesale distribution + manufacturing company (building materials / millwork domain).

Key Responsibilities

BC Functional Expertise

- Manufacturing: BOMs, production orders, routings, subcontracting, costing

- Advanced WMS: bin-level inventory, directed put-away/pick, warehouse flows, tally/variable UOM

- Sales & Pricing: multi-tier price lists, approval workflows, customer-specific pricing

- Purchasing: 3-way match, multi-currency, landed cost (ISV preferred)

- US Finance: AP/AR, bank reconciliation, 1099, FX gain/loss

Delivery Ownership

- Lead design workshops and drive decision closure

- Own data migration (templates, cleansing, test loads, validation)

- Coordinate ISVs (WMS, Avalara, landed cost, integrations)

- Deliver user training across business functions

- Maintain functional documentation (FDD)

QA (if included)

- Write scenario-based UAT test cases with expected results

- Manage BC sandbox environments and test cycles

- Bug triage (P1–P3)

- Define integration and regression test scenarios

Key Requirements

- Experience in BC implementations (Manufacturing + WMS essential)

- Strong in workshop facilitation and structured delivery

- Comfortable with greenfield ambiguity and multiple parallel decisions

- High attention to data accuracy (pricing, UOM, inventory complexity)
