Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced German-speaking Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to support the design, development, and integration of modern software solutions.

The ideal candidate combines solid Java, JavaScript, and SQL expertise with hands-on experience designing and integrating backend microservices. The consultant should be comfortable working independently within an existing development environment and collaborating directly with German-speaking technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Java.

* Develop and integrate JavaScript-based application components.

* Design and implement APIs and integrations between services and existing systems.

* Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.

* Contribute to the architecture and design of scalable backend solutions.

* Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications, integrations, and database interactions.

* Participate in technical discussions, solution design, code reviews, and development planning.

* Collaborate closely with internal development teams and stakeholders.

* Communicate effectively with stakeholders in German.

Required Skills

* Strong professional experience with Java.

* Strong knowledge of JavaScript.

* Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.

* Proven experience designing, developing, and integrating backend microservices.

* Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.

* Good understanding of modern software architecture and distributed systems.

* Ability to work independently as an external specialist/consultant.

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

* Professional working proficiency in German.

* Good English communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

* Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.

* Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

* Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

* Docker and/or Kubernetes experience.

* CI/CD and DevOps experience.

* Previous experience working on enterprise-scale applications.

* Experience working in German-speaking client environments.
