Kotlin Developer

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Kotlin Backend Engineer to enhance our Kotlin team, contributing to the development of authentication and wallet solutions while ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Develop high-performance backend microservices using Kotlin in a GCP cloud environment.

- Drive features independently from technical design to deployment, proactively seeking answers and collaborating with peers.

- Support both authentication/wallet solutions and urgent maintenance/enhancements for legal entities and customers.

- Maintain high code quality, security standards, and CI/CD best practices.

Key Requirements:

- Kotlin Experience: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated backend Kotlin development experience.

- Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Ktor and/or Spring Boot with Kotlin.

- Cloud & Infrastructure: Microservices background with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm.

- CI/CD & Storage: Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and PostgreSQL.

- Domain Security: Knowledge of OAuth and authentication flows.

- Mindset: Senior autonomy – someone who actively reaches out to solve problems rather than waiting for tasks to be assigned.

Nice to Have:

- Familiarity with AI developer tools/agents (e.g., Claude, OpenAI APIs).

- Prior experience with Java (ability to navigate Java codebases when interacting with adjacent systems).

- Location: Fully Remote UE

- Duration: 6 months (Possibility of extension)

- Notice Period / Start: Immediate to 2 weeks preferred
