About the Role An opportunity is available for a Mid to Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a specialized engineering team working on an expert-driven probabilistic modelling and data analytics platform. This role is focused 100% on test automation across both front-end and back-end components, with zero manual testing involved.

You will work closely with senior developers, quantitative users, and data scientists to build, extend, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and ensure complex data pipelines and APIs operate reliably.

Note: Project Duration: 3 months with a potential extension.

Key Responsibilities

- Extend and maintain automated testing frameworks for full-stack application components and APIs.

- Develop behavioral test automation and end-to-end testing strategies alongside software developers.

- Investigate, log, and resolve complex software defects within agile team backlogs.

- Collaborate within a geographically distributed team to ensure high code quality, correctness, and test coverage.

Requirements

- Experience: 5+ years of software development or QA automation experience (Mid/Senior level).

- Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, Pytest, and Playwright.

- Testing Capabilities: Deep understanding of API testing and automated framework design.

- Environment & Tools: Hands-on experience with Linux/Shell environments, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI / GitHub Actions).

- Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS services and container orchestration ecosystems.

- Languages: English proficiency at minimum B2 level (used for daily technical communication and interview processes).

- Location: Must be a resident of Poland.

Note: While a Python/Playwright stack is preferred, candidates with high-level problem-solving skills proficient in other automation stacks (e.g., JavaScript) are also welcome to apply.

Nice to Have

- Experience working alongside data scientists or quantitative teams.

- Experience with mock tools (Wiremock, pytest-mock), report engines (Allure/Report Portal), or data libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SQLAlchemy).

- Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, or Airflow.

Recruitment Process

- Screening Interview: Initial 45-minute discussion with the Line Manager and Product Manager.

- Technical Interview: 1-hour session including a live-coding assignment in your preferred IDE
