About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project.

You’ll work on designing and developing scalable data solutions using modern Databricks and Azure technologies, combining hands-on engineering with architectural responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and evolve scalable data architectures based on Data Lakehouse principles.

- Define technical solutions and architectural approaches for data processing, integration, and storage.

- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.

- Build and maintain data workflows and integrations using Azure Data Factory and Azure Storage.

- Establish and maintain data governance, access control, and data management practices using Unity Catalog.

- Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable.

- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective data solutions.

- Contribute to technical decisions, architecture documentation, and best practices across the project.

- Identify opportunities to improve existing data solutions, processes, and overall platform performance.

What We’re Looking For

- Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, with strong architectural thinking

- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and Python

- Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture

- Practical experience with Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage

- Ability to design scalable and reliable data solutions and make technical decisions

- English - B2 or higher

- German B1 will be a plus
