Senior Odoo Engineer

Job description

The Role

- We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Odoo Developer to building a scalable enterprise ERP system on

- Odoo 18 LTS. You'll be our first core developer — leading both backend (Python/Odoo) and frontend

- (OWL/interactive UI) work across the entire MVP.

What You'll Build

- Core data models and business logic (extend Odoo's core architecture)

- Five critical custom modules: document storage, digital signatures, approvals, resource

- scheduling, dashboards

- A specialized interactive visualization component (SVG/canvas-based, real-time, linked to

- backend)

- Audit trails, role-based access control, compliance-ready schema

- Self-hosted production environment structure

The Challenge

- This isn't standard Odoo config work. Five capabilities that are normally pre-built must be engineered

- custom. The interactive component is the hardest piece — it's where architecture and UX meet. You'll

- own the technical decisions.

What We Need

Someone who can lead and own their work end-to-end:

- Takes full ownership: autonomous control over technical decisions and execution — we don't micromanage

- System design & software architecture: design scalable data models, plan integrations, make architectural trade-offs

- Strong technical writer: write RFCs, ADRs, architecture docs; lead design discussions with the team; explain the "why" not just the "what"

- 5+ years Odoo development (v13+)

- Python: data models, business logic, API design

- Frontend: OWL, JavaScript, XML/QWeb, CSS

- PostgreSQL, Git, ability to read source code

- Nice to have: SVG/canvas experience, regulated industry background, OCA module contribution
