Role Overview

This is a full-time, in-house role at Magic, not a VA placement with a client – you lead the team of VAs matched to our clients and make sure both sides of that arrangement hold up.

It's a different kind of lead role than "manager." You're not stacking direct reports – you own the whole partnership: the client relationship and the people delivering on it. Part account lead, part coach, no fixed script. The VAs on your team don't answer to you because of your title – they follow your lead because you've earned their trust, and that's the only authority that survives a 2am client call.

When your team delivers, clients stay. When clients stay, Magic grows.

Shift: training runs overnight (Week 1: Monday–Thursday 8:30 PM–5:30 AM PHT, Friday MEA team orientation; Weeks 2–3: 10:00 PM–7:00 AM PHT), Monday–Friday, with your eventual production shift landing between 6 PM–3 AM, 12 AM–9 AM, or 4 AM–1 PM PHT. Training is strict: zero absences (documented medical emergencies only), max 2 tardies, 70% minimum score with one retake per failed module.

Compensation & Benefits

Gross package ₱42,000 (₱38,117 base + ₱3,833 non-taxable allowances), plus a performance bonus of ₱3,000–₱5,000/month (650+ billed hours/week and quality targets) – total monthly potential ₱42,000–₱47,000 · HMO (after 6 months) · 12 vacation + 10 sick days/year · 13th month pay, SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG · Desktop computer + full IT support provided · Paid Training

Application Process

Application + Pre-Qualifying Assessment → Interview with Talent Team (45 min) → 24-Hour Reflection Period → Final Interview with Operations Team → Background Check → Job Offer → 3-Week Training Program

Leading the VA team means you:

- Lead 15–20 virtual assistants across multiple clients – daily stand-ups, real-time coaching, development plans that actually get followed through

- Own client success – daily video calls with international clients (US, Australia), workflow optimization, and smooth team transitions

- Track performance across HubSpot, Slack, Discord, Cloudtalk, ChatGPT, Workspace, and Penthouse

- Route billing questions to the billing team – flag and forward, don't calculate

- Report daily via the Account Lead Pulse (ALP)

- 2+ years hands-on VA or EA experience with international clients (US/AU preferred)

- 1+ years in client success, B2B relationship management, or team leadership

- Comfortable juggling 6+ platforms daily – you pick up new ones fast, not reluctantly

- Professional written and verbal English

- A track record of completing strict, structured programs: bootcamps, certifications, and the like

- Able to commit exclusively to Magic through training and production – no other VA/EA clients on the side

Why You'll Be a Great Fit

You lead a tight-knit team of people, not a stack of tasks – strong, steady client satisfaction and few escalations. You spot the problem before the client does. You take the hard conversation on time, every time, with no stalling. Feedback lands once and you've already acted on it – your manager never has to repeat themselves. You push through setbacks with grit instead of excuses, and you step up even when it's not officially your job.

This isn't the role if you're currently freelancing as a VA/EA and plan to keep those clients, if you need every instruction spelled out before you act, if your default is "give me a directive and I'll enforce it" rather than leading through influence, or if a wedding, move, or big trip falls inside your training window – the timing has to be right going in.

We're ambitious and driven, the type to push through obstacles instead of waiting for perfect conditions – and we make no apology for it. The culture here is genuinely different: real, friendly conversation, zero politics, no hierarchy in your way. You can talk to anyone, on any team, about anything, because we respect each other's time and genuinely like working together. Backed by Y Combinator and Sequoia Capital, thousands of remote workers strong, and still growing.
